How does it work?

Attacking Momentum applies a unique weighting system to live performance data to show which teams are in the ascendency during the match. Weightings are applies to attacking actions such as shots, chances created and corners, and we present each teams share of the momentum as a percentage out of 100.

How does it work?

The Euro Super League is a way of ranking teams from across the "Big 5" leagues in Europe.

We use past and present data (the current season being the most relevant) to calculate the relative strength of the teams, by factoring in performances in both domestic and European matches.

We present the team strength as a score, whereby the top team is always 100 and every other teams score (and therefore team strength) is relative to the team who are currently top of the Euro Super League.

Which teams are best at coming back from adversity in games?

Even the best teams fall behind in games, and so the ability to switch to Plan B and get back into the games is the stuff of true champions!

Our Bouncebackability widget records each time a team falls behind and every time they bounce back to equaliser (note: it is possible to bounceback from a losing position more than once in the same game). We then calculate how many points each team has gained from losing positions, and rank the teams in order of their ability to bounceback!

The stronger teams may not fall behind as often, which is why we show the percentage of times they bounceback in games and also visualise the average time spent per match in winning, drawing and losing positions.

Costly Injuries provides a dynamic ranking showing the total value and percentage of a teams current injury list. It therefore helps to understand how hamstrung a team is on game day!

The player value data is courtesy of Transfermarkt, while the injury data comes from Physio Room.

We also provide a live ticker that shows the accumulating value (cost) of the players on the sidelines so far today. We calculate this by adding the total value of the injured player(s), dividing by the number of seconds in a season and then showing how it accrues during the day.

What is it?

An in-game running tool that provides the chances of each team winning the match.

How does it work?

The Score Prediction engine uses a data modelling approach to provide pre-match and in-game probabilities (% chance of win, loss, draw) for each match.

The model produces a goal expectation value for each team prior to the game, which is essentially a measure of a teams underlying strength. During the match, the probabilities are updated in live according to the game state (score-line, time remaining and red cards).
